Women's Club
The Women's Club has over 60 members and actively supports the Club's projects and activities. Playing abilities vary from beginners to low handicappers. Each Tuesday between April and October, the Women’s Club meets to hold a 9-hole competition followed by lunch and socializing. Some continue on for another 9-holes. Once a month there is a meeting and clinic.
The "One-Holers" was started 2 years ago for women just beginning to play. The group meets once a week for 4 sessions that includes a lesson from the Club Pro, followed by practice and a few holes of golf. Multiple sessions are held and fill up quickly. Many are on their way to improving their game of golf.
In July the women host their main event - the Member/Guest tournament. Each year there is a new theme with raffles and prizes. Money is raised for Junior Camp and other profits go toward sponsoring girls on the Friday Harbor High School golf team. In addition members pay annual dues that provide more money for the golf team and other projects needed to support the Club. One year they provided labor and money to remodel the Women's locker room.
